author of The Truth About Organic Gardening: Benefits, Drawbacks, and the Bottom Line
Is organic always the best choice? Do common garden remedies actually work? Jeff Gillman dares to ask the tough questions and fearlessly puts gardening myths, techniques, and products to the test. He contends that all gardening products and practices-organic and synthetic-need to be examined on a case-by-case basis to determine both whether they are safe and whether they accomplish the task for which they are intended.
With topics covering insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and whether practices such as planting cover crops or companion plants are worth the trouble, Jeff will share some surprising results that will help you make the best choices for your garden.
As always, the presentation will be followed by discussion and snacks, and we hope you'll stay and talk to the author, as well as your fellow gardeners.
